A great piece of software that runs on both PC and Mac platforms, and allows you to print on demand, is Blurb’s self publishing tool BookSmart.
The software is a free download and is seriously cool to play with!
Blurb allows the use of both online and offline photo libraries when publishing via their webservice and provides the choice of an editor if you need one.
Now you can put favourite recipes in your very own cookbook, create a family calendar, photobook, publish your poetry or convert your blog into book. You are limited only by your imagination.
One of the great advantages is that, like BookPal, printing books on demand with Blurb is dirt cheap and photo quality is excellent. A simple softcover (18×18cm, 20-40 pages) photobook that you can style yourself will set you back €9.95, a large hardcover version (33×28cm, 20-40 pages) will cost you about €41,95. Compare this to QOOP this is at least €10 cheaper.
